India
Purnima Bheude - 1967-68 Indian visitor grins elfishly,
There is a “crazy Indian” roaming the halls of OHS this year. She has a long black braid, sparkling brown eyes, and an elfish grin. Needless to say this senior is Nima Bhende. Being the AFS student keeps Nima busy running from one club to another to give speeches on her country. |
Although her duties as AFS representative
are time-consuming, she also manages to participate actively in the Choir
and on the O-High-Lights staff.
She lives in Bombay, India. In India, Nima studied classical Indian dancing; she recently performed at the high school AFS assembly. Her dances depict Indian legends. Strangely enough, Nima prefers American music to that of her homeland. The Mamas and the Papas rate highest with her. Nima is spending this year with the Milton Yinger family, 272 Oak.
