2002: I babysat for about 3 years after I got out of high school. I took a class in computers and accounting at the JVS for a year (which I received a certificate in). I moved to Cincinnatti for a little while. Moved back to Oberlin and worked odd and end jobs for awhile. Some of these jobs included janitorial for a church, counter help at Pettifords Bakery before it closed, working at a girl's camp in Maine for a few summers before I decided to go to college. I attended Carlow College in Pittsburgh from fall '88. I graduated with a B.A. in Psychology in May '93. During my education at Carlow I was class treasurer for 3 years, treasurer for a group called OASIS (Older Adult Students In School) and vp of SGA for a year. After I graduated from college I began working as a residential assistant in an assisted living agency for the severely and persistantly mentally ill. I later became a counselor lll for a different agency. I then worked for Western Psychiatric Institute and Clinic in Pittsburgh as an intensive case manager. I returned to Oberlin due to being ill. I am on the mend and have recently begun working with the Lorain County Rape Crisis Center. I have traveled a little, however, nothing abroad. I was in the 1994 earthquake that hit Northridge, Ca and was less than 15 miles from the epicenter, what an experience I will never forget. Last summer I traveled to Florida and was able to appreciate the grace and beauty of watching dolphins and manatees swimming from the ocean into the river. Other than that...nothing too exciting to report. :) i do look forward to seeing everybody this coming summer.
