OBERLIN — Paul Michael Bachnika, 46, of Oberlin, died January 6, 2010 at Allen Medical Center surrounded by his family.
Paul was born December 21, 1963, in Elyria. He worked as a truck driver and also as a grain farmer. He was a member of the Wellington Eagles Club 2051 and enjoyed hunting, fishing and working on guns.
He is survived by his parents, Rudolf K. and Maxine Hebebrand Bachnika, of Oberlin; daughter Serena Finke, of LaGrange; sisters Linda Romelfanger, of New London, Judy Branscum, of Elyria, and Karla McDonald, of San Antonio, Texas; nephew Kevin Keefer; and nieces Kelly Bower, Holly Romelfanger, Chelsey Romelfanger, Heather McDonald and Sara McDonald.
Visitation will be Friday, January 8, 2010, from 6-8 p.m. at Cowling Funeral Home, 228 S. Main St., Oberlin. Funeral services will be Saturday, January 9, 2010, at 11 a.m. at Cowling Funeral Home. There will be a private family burial in Brookdale Cemetery at a later date.
