2004: After returning
to Chile, I began to study Law at the University. During those
years, I was an active participant in the student movement
against government of Pinochet. I became a lawyer in 1988
and I worked on my own for a couple of years. Since 1991,
soon of the return of Democracy, I have worked in different
governmental organisms, such as the Service of Civil Registry
and Identification, Ministry of Housing and Urbanism and Direction
of Social Security. Currently, I work for an Institution in
charge of defending poor people at Court.
On the other hand, I married, I separated and I have a beautiful
6 years old daughter.
Throughout these years, I have kept in touch with my host
family, the Livingston and with some of my friends; besides,
I have traveled to the USA in three occasions and I visited
OHS once. I have always realized my year abroad has been one
of the most valuable experiences I have had.
I'm sorry I won't be able to make it for the 25 years meeting
in Oberlin, maybe next time. If some of you travels to Chile,
let me know, and please, excuse my English, it's a long time
without practice.
