After leaving Oberlin, we lived in Detroit, Michigan where I taught a Needlecraft class in the junior high public schools part time. We then moved to McRoberts, Kentucky, where, after my children were in school all day, I went to work for the U.S. Government as an Office Manager. Later, we moved back to Ohio (Cleveland), where I worked as an Office Manager for the Y.M.C.A. for over eleven years. After I retired from the Y, I came to work here, where I am today, at my church office. I am titled as an Executive Assistant (Administrative), to my pastor, however, I serve as Administrator over our child care center, Treasurer of our elementary school, and I also serve as a video technician for our church services. Also, I'm a Notary Public.
Over the years, I've attended Sawyer Business College, Cuyahoga Community College (Business), and Case Western Reserve University Law School (Peace Officer & Private Investigator training). I also attended computer-training classes at Tri C.
In 1992, after over thirty-two years of marriage, my husband died unexpectedly. We had four children, two boys and two girls (two automobile mechanics, a nurse and a Cosmetologist). I now have ten grandchildren ranging in age from nineteen to three years of age.
In my spare time, I read, create needlecraft projects, surf the internet, take digital family photographs to manipulate and print from my computer, and work on our Yarber-Brooks genealogy project.
