Gerald Albert Walker, 62 of Phoenix died suddenly Monday May 17 2004 while visiting his mother’s home in Oberlin. He was born Nov 28 1941 in Oberlin and served in the US Air Force from 1960-1968 during the Vietnam War. Walker owned and operated a floor coverings store in Prescott, Ariz. Survivors include his mother, Hazel Walker (nee Martin) of Oberlin, sons Gerald A. Walker Jr. of Pinetop, Ariz, and Fred H. Walker of Queen Creek, Ariz.; daughters Lorna Nevitt and Shelly Crewse both of Queen Creek, Ariz.; his companion Mary Ann Shiro of Phoenix; brother Thomas M. Walker of North Canton; and 20 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father Fred H. Walker.
Private burial will take place later.
