Ken and I have 3 children; John, Susan, and Paul. Our hobbies are tent camping and gardening. We are quite involved with the kids' activities. Both boys play soccer and all three play baseball on organized teams. John is a Cub Scout and Susan a Brownie. I became a registered nurse after graduating from St. Vincent Charity Hospital in Cleveland in 1963. I worked for 1 year at St. Joseph's' in Lorain before coming to St. Louis. Ken and I have been married for 10 years and I've worked part-time until I retired last June. I am a Girl Scout leader for 20 2nd and 3rd graders. I sew most of my clothes and my daughters. I sing with St. Christopher's Church Choir and am an avid bridge player. Ken is Chairman of the English Dept. at Florissant Valley Community College. He is an avid reader and an excellent gardener. The achievements we are most proud of are our 3 fine children.
2000
After high school I became an RN, graduating from St. Vincent Charity Hospital in Cleveland.
Worked 30+ years as hospital nurse in St. Louis at St. Mary's and at Christian Northwest and
Northeast Hospitals. Raised three children—two are M.D.'s and one a civil engineer—all in St. Louis area. Have two grandchildren. Retired two years ago to take care of them while their parents finished up their residencies. Husband, Ken, retired one year ago. Was professor of English and director of the Center for Teaching and Learning at St. Louis Community College/Florissant Valley. Although we are not officially home schooling our grandkids, we're committed to loving and teaching them. My hobbies include quilting, gardening, antiquing, and cooking.
