Married David Truman from Wellington in 1964 - still married after 35 years!!!! He works at GM Motors in Parma.
Two daughters - Emily born in 1970, Jennifer born in 1972. They both live in the area and we visit back and forth often.
I worked a variety of jobs while raising my family. I taught business at Midview High School, worked in an elementary school library (my favorite job) where I helped teach the youngsters how to use the library and became a storyteller, worked in the real estate business for three years, and accounts payable for Ciba Corning for six years, plus many temp jobs. I'm now happily retired and love being home.
We both have been active in our church, Field's Methodist, during the past 27 years. I'm on the Worship Committee and sing in the choir. I love all types of music, my favorite is classical but James Taylor is good too. My daughter even has me tuning onto country stations once in awhile. I volunteer at the schools and at Elyria Memorial Hospital.
I'm past president of our local Arts Council and belong to Cleveland Museum of Art, O.H.I.O. and FAVA in Oberlin. My hobbies are watercolor painting and playing bridge, but I'm also an avid reader and love to garden.
Dave and I are enjoying this time of our lives and take every opportunity to get-away for a week to travel around the country. He's not ready to retire and likes to keep his options open in real estate. We like to be active and involved in our community!
