After leaving Kent State in 1966, I taught and coached in VA for five years. Dad died in 1967. Mom sold the house on West College St. and moved to Boulder, Colorado, to be with my sister. I moved to Longmont, CO in 1971 and taught for eight years.
An eight year mid-life crisis was lived out as a recreation director at a lodge in Estes Park, CO.
We have recently returned to Estes Park after eight years of teaching in KY. Mom is alive and well at ninety-two in Boulder and I am working a light schedule at a rehab-fitness place.
While in KY, we returned to Oberlin, visited Dorothy Judson, and Dad’s grave in Westwood Cemetery. I will return as Mom has a place beside Dad.
I miss you all, especially Billy Judson, Jeff Cotton, Ricky LeCraft, Sally Conway, and Boyd Robinson who moved away while in grade school.
