I was born March first in Cannonburg, PA and moved to Washington State in 1942. After two years we moved back to PA until first grade. I started school in WV and came to Oberlin in the fourth grade. Upon graduation, I joined the US Army for 3 years as a communication Specialist. I was in Turkey, NJ, GA and NC. I married Lonnie Faye Baxley in 1963 from Florence, SC. We have been married 37 years and have one son Dwayne Edward and one grandson Robert Ross Campbell. We are expecting a granddaughter in September, 2000. After the USArmy in 1963, we moved back to Grafton, OH to work for Seaway Bolt and Specials Company to work as a truck driver, shipping foreman and sales correspondent. In 1971 I had open heart surgery to replace my aortic valve. The surgery was done in Cleveland. In 1974 Faye graduated from LCCC with an Associate Degree in Nursing. In 1976 we moved to Florence, SC where we live presently. We bought some rental property which I own and manage. We also built three different houses which I enjoyed doing very much. In 1984 Faye received her Bachelor's of Science Nursing from the Medical University of SC. In 1986 Dwayne graduated from Clemson university with a double major in economics and political science. He is currently working as a Pharmaceutical Representative for Genetech. In 1988 he married and in 1993 he divorced. In 1996 he remarried. His wife, Amy, works as an KCG and Echo Supervisor at the Heart Center in Columbia SC. In 1992 Faye received her Masters in Nursing from the University of SC. Faye and I enjoy card playing and games with the family. I also enjoy boating, biking, fishing with Ross, my grandson. My family still live here in OH and I enjoy visiting with them. |
