Betty Vedder Volk
In response to an email to Ruth Reaser (OHS '54) about Betty, I received the following:
"She is my sister. She passed away 14 years ago on Xmas. I sure miss her."
Former Wellington resident Betty Lou Volk (nee Vedder), 54, of Quincy, MI, died unexpectedly Friday at Elyria Memorial Hospital during a visit to relatives in Elyria. Services were held Tuesday at the White Funeral Home in Litchfield, MI. Burial was in Litchfield Cemetery, MI.
Before moving to Quincy, where she operated a ceramics shop, she lived 15 years in Wellington.
Surviving are her husband, William; her mother, Thelma M. Moir of Wellington; four sisters, Alice Vedder of Wellington, Mrs Robert (Ruth) Reaser of Clarksfield, Mrs Leo (Carol) Cupp of West Unity, and Mrs Linda Wyman of Elyria; three brothers, Fred Hill of Wellington, Jack Hill of Oak Hill, W VA, and Alfred Hill of Elyria. She was preceded in death by her father, Clark J Vedder.
