Enrolled at Missouri School of Mines and Metallurgy in September, 1952. Completed 1-1/2 years before transferring to Penn State for one semester.
I was drafted in the Army in September, 1954 and discharged in August, 1956. Spent eleven months in Germany.
From September, 1956 until August, 1957 I worked at Raytheon in Bedford, Massachusetts.
I returned to Missouri School of Mines and Metallurgy at Rolla, Missouri in September, 1957, completing my BS in Civil Engineering in June, 1961, and taking full advantage of the G.I. Bill.
Started to work for the Metropolitan Water District of Southern California in July, 1961, as a structural engineer. Moved to Toledo, Ohio in September, 1963.
Married Karen in April, 1963. Our daughter, Dina Jo, was born in December, 1964 and a son, Daniel J., in April, 1966. I have three grandchildren born to Dina. I divorced in November, 2000 after 9 yrs. and 5 mos. of hogwash.
After moving to Toledo, I worked 3 years at my father-in-law's lumber yard; 18 years at Jone & Henry Engineers, Ltd.; 4 years as an estimator with a construction company; 3 years with Ulrich-Chang and Associates as an environmental engineer; and retired January 1, 1995.
During those years in Toledo I bought and sold real estate, built and sold residental, commercial, and apartments. Presently one-third owner in a trailer park.
My mother, Isabelle Robinson Buck (age 93) has lived with me here in Toledo for the past 5 years since my brother, Boyd's passing on July 20, 1995. My father, Boyd Robinson, preceded my brother in January, 1971.
I have done some traveling; most recently to London via the Concord; Edinburgh and Paris by train; and returned to New York on the QE-2.
Enjoying life and looking forward to our 50 year class reunion.
