Margaret with granddaughter Katie, Christmas, 2001

I cannot believe it has been 50 years. For most of those years, 45 to be exact, I have been married to Chuck, who I met at Bowling Green State University in 1956. And also for most of those years, we have lived here in Pennsylvania, not too far from his family.

We have three wonderful children: A Daughter and two Sons and three even more wonderful Grandchildren; a Granddaughter and two Grandsons, 8, 11 and 2 years of age. They finally live close enough to visit, in northern Virginia.

Their daddy is a retired Army Lieutenant Colonel and works now as a professional civil engineer.

I am retired now after teaching school and doing social work, first in a nursing home and then in a public hospital. My days are devoted largely to reading, sewing, volunteering at the hospital and helping to care for a Daughter-in-law who suffers (greatly) from the really bad form of Lupus.

Right now, I am looking forward to Spring. My bones hate the cold.
