
Robert O. Hamlin
Robert O. Hamlin, 61, of Lorain died Saturday, November 11, 1995, at his home after a short illness.
Born in Oberlin, he had lived in Lorain for the past 25 years.
Mr. Hamlin taught at Whittier Junior High, Lorain, and was a counselor at Admiral King High School, retiring in 1982. He taught at the Elyria Detention Home for 10 years, retiring in 1991 due to health problems.
Survivors include his wife, Sylvia; sons, Robert III of Lorain and James of California; a daughter, Anita Owens-Ramsey of Lemon Grove, CA; five grandchildren; sister Camille Mitchell of Oberlin; and brother, Barney of Washington, D.C.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Sr. and Nancy (nee Thompson); and sister, Mildred Stubblefield.
Services were held in the Cowling Funeral Home, Oberlin. The Rev. Fred L. Steel officiated. Burial was in Westwood Cemetery, Oberlin.
