I have been married only once. I am married to John Carroll Taylor and have been for forty-seven years. My husband has been retired for 12 years from Consumers Supply as a mechanic.
We have one son, John Alan. He is 45 years old and is a Graphic Designer at Cedar Point. He has been working at the point for 25 years. We are very proud of his accomplishments.
I have had many jobs over the years. I worked as a waitress, on an assembly line in a factory, and as a deli clerk. Then at age sixty-two, I said I was going to retire. But I decided I had to return to school and I found a dream job that I felt was just suited for me. Even though I have never graduated, I still go to school everyday. I was employed at the Lorain County JVS as an educational monitor for three years. There I worked in the cafeteria-supervising students during their lunch periods. Then one day I just quit my job saying I had had enough. But the next day I applied at Midview School as a sub monitor. This is where my latest adventure began. I worked in the elementary schools as a substitute monitor for a little while. Then I was given the challenge of being a bus monitor for behavior children. This has been my dream job. The children on my bus are anywhere from 10 to 19 years old. It has given me much joy to know I can be there for them. I also work with 3rd and 4th graders at an elementary school on the playground.
I am very grateful for Lois (Schmitz) Jackson who has kept contact with me. My best friend in life has been my relationship with God. He has guided me each step along the way.
